This Privacy Policy describes Colliga Apps (“Colliga Apps”) policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information about you in connection with your use of our service, in particular, the website and application, Colliga Research (“Colliga Apps Service”).

When you use the Colliga Apps Service, you consent to Colliga Apps’ collection, use, and disclosure of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

Colliga Apps collects personal information to facilitate your use of the Colliga Apps Service. “Personal Information” means information that identifies or is reasonably capable of identifying an individual, directly or indirectly, and information that is being associated with an identified or reasonably identifiable individual.

Information Collected Directly by the Colliga Apps Service
The Colliga Services can be enabled to collect the following categories of Personal Information:
·   Accelerometer readings;
·   Acoustic features of speech (analysis through audio recordings), including:
        o   Pitch;
        o   Intensity;
        o   Chroma Energy Normalized;
        o   Mel-scale spectrogram;
        o   Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients;
        o   Root mean square of each frame;
        o   Spectral centroid;
        o   Spectral bandwidth;
        o   Spectral flatness;
        o   Roll-off frequency;
        o   Nth-order polynomial;
        o   Spectrogram coefficients; and
        o   Zero-crossing rate.
·   Ambient light (for iOS, taking a picture; for Android, background);
Information actively collected through the Colliga Apps Service includes:
·   Ambient noise, through an audio recording;
·   Application use metrics;
·   Audio;
·   Automated transcription of speech (analysis of audio files), capturing:
        o   Frequencies of words;
        o   Sentiment analysis;
        o   Detection of offensive/bad words;
        o   Detection of topics;
·   Barometer readings;
·   Browser history;
·   Calendar event information, through integration with Google’s Gmail;
·   Call duration;
·   Call frequency;
·   Distance;
·   GPS coordinates;
·   Gyroscope;
·   Humidity;
·   Phone charge metrics, including percent charge, time of charge, time charging;
·   Phone pickups;
·   Pictures, via the camera on your phone device and individual submission;
·   Proximity between specific people (automatic);
·   Proximity to specific locations (automatic);
·   Screen brightness;
·   Screen time;
·   SMS frequency (automatic);
·   SMS transcripts (automatic);
·   Step counts;
·   Time spent at specific locations (automatic);
·   Time spent with specific people (automatic);
·   Typed text in browser;
·   Typed text in email; and
·   Video.
Data Collected Through Fitbit
Colliga Apps Service may integrate with Fitbit APIs to collect the following personal information:
·   Information Related to Activity, including:
        o   Calories burned;
        o   Active minutes; and
        o   Floors.
·   Information Related to Exercise, including:
        o   Exercise name;
        o   Exercise time;
        o   Exercise length;
        o   Exercise distance;
        o   Calories burned per exercise;
        o   Heart rate during exercise; and
        o   Number of minutes in active zones during exercise.
·   Information Related to Food Consumption, including:
        o   Meal type;
        o   Name of food;
        o   Calories; and
        o   Macronutrients, including carbohydrates, fats, and proteins.
·   Information Related to Heart Rate, including:
        o   Heart rate;
        o   Resting heart rate;
        o   Minutes in peak zone;
        o   Minutes in cardio zone; and
        o   Minutes in fat burn zone.
· Information Related to Hydration, including:
        o   Water consumed.
·   Information Related to Sleep, including:
        o   Time asleep;
        o   Fall asleep/wake up times;
        o   Minutes to fall asleep;
        o   Time awake;
        o   Time restless; and
        o   Minutes awake/restless.
·   Information Related to Weight, including:
        o   Weight;
        o   Body Mass Index (BMI);
        o   Body fat;
        o   Lean mass; and
        o   Fat mass.
Data Collected Through Apple HealthKit
Colliga Apps Service may integrate with Apple HealthKit APIs to collect the following Personal Information:
·   Information Related to Activity, including:
        o   Stand hours;
        o   Stand minutes;
        o   Resting energy;
        o   Active energy;
        o   Flights climbed;
        o   Exercise minutes;
        o   Cycling distance;
        o   Downhill snow sports distance;
        o   NikeFuel;
        o   Swimming distance;
        o   Swimming strokes;
        o   Wheelchair distance;
        o   Wheelchair pushes; and
        o   Workout type, duration, and start and end times.
·   Information Related to Mindfulness, including:
        o   Mindfulness minutes.
·   Information Related to Nutrition, including:
        o   Caffeine;
        o   Carbohydrates;
        o   Dietary cholesterol;
        o   Dietary energy/calories;
        o   Dietary sugar;
        o   Fiber;
        o   Potassium;
        o   Protein;
        o   Saturated fat;
        o   Sodium;
        o   Total fat;
        o   Water intake; and
        o   Other nutrition information which may include: Biotin, calcium, chloride, chromium, copper, folate, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, monosaturated fat, niacin, pathothetenic acid, phosphorus, polyunsaturated fat, riboflavin, selenium, thiamin, vitamin A, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin K, and zinc.
·   Information Related to Sleep, including:
        o   Time in bed;
        o   Time asleep; and
        o   Bedtime and wakeup time.
·   Information Related to Body Measurements, including:
        o   Weight;
        o   Body Mass Index (BMI);
        o   Height;
        o   Basal body temperature;
        o   Body fat percentage;
        o   Electrodermal activity;
        o   Lean body mass; and
        o   Waist circumference.
·   Information Related to Respiratory, including:
        o   VO2 max;
        o   Force expiratory volume, one second;
        o   Forced vital capacity;
        o   Oxygen saturation;
        o   Peak expiratory flow rate; and
        o   Respiratory rate.
·   Information Related to Heart, including:
        o   Heart rate;
        o   Heart rate variability;
        o   Resting heart rate;
        o   Walking heart rate;
        o   High heart rate notifications;
       o   Low heart rate notifications; and
        o   Peripheral Perfusion index.
·   Information Related to Cycle Tracking, including:
        o   Period;
        o   Ovulation test result;
        o   Cervical mucus quality;
        o   Spotting; and
        o   Flow.
·   Information Related to Vitals, including:
        o   Blood pressure; and
        o   Body temperature.
·   Information Related to Hearing, including:
        o   Headphone audio levels;
        o   Audiogram;
        o   Environmental sound levels; and
        o   Noise notifications.
·   Information Related to Other Data, including:
        o   Blood alcohol content (BAC);
        o   Blood glucose;
        o   Inhaler usage;
        o   Sexual activity;
        o   Insulin delivery;
        o   Number of times fallen;
        o   Tooth brushing; and
        o   UV index.
Colliga Apps may collect the following categories of information from you in your use of the Colliga Apps Service:
·   IP Address;
·   Operating System identification;
·   Browser identifying information, identifying the type of Internet browser you are using;
·   Internet Service Provider identifying information;
·   Geographic information, including location;
·   The type of device you are using to access the Colliga Apps Service;
·   Information pertaining to your mobile device, such as mobile device crash information;
·   The location and language of the device;
·   Components of your device, such fingerprint or facial recognition sensors and features;
·   Date and time of access of the Colliga Apps Service;
·   Features that were used during your access of the Colliga Apps Service;
·   The length of your use of the Colliga Apps Service;
·   The links you click and the pages you visit within the Colliga Apps Service; and
·   The pages you review before and after you leave the Colliga Apps

How We Use the Information We Collect

The Personal Information we collect and the practices described above are done in an effort to provide you with the best experience possible, protect you from risks related to improper use and fraud, and help us maintain and improve.

For use in research studies, Researchers and their authorized users may collect, access, store, and utilize your Personal Information pursuant to each individual Researcher’s Informed Consent procedures applicable to each study in which you provide explicit consent to participate.

We may use your Personal Information to:

  • Comply with legal and regulatory Colliga Apps processes your Personal Information as required by applicable laws and regulations.

  • Provide you with customer Colliga Apps processes your Personal Information anytime that you reach out to Customer Support (contact@colligapps.com) with issues arising from your use of the Colliga Apps Service.
  • Optimize and enhance the Colliga Apps Colliga Apps uses your Personal Information to understand how the Colliga Apps Service is being used to help us improve the Colliga Apps Service.
  • Other business Colliga Apps may use your information for additional purposes if that purpose is disclosed to you before we collect the information or if we obtain your consent.

How We Share the Information We Collect

Colliga will not share your Personal Information with third parties, except as described below.

  • Colliga Apps may share your Personal Information with third party Researchers and their authorized users in accordance with our Participant Terms of Service.
  • Third-Party Colliga Apps Service Colliga may share your Personal Information with third- party service providers for business or commercial purposes. Your Personal Information may be shared so that they can provide us with services, including identity verification, fraud detection and prevention, security threat detection, payment processing, customer support, data analytics, Information Technology, advertising, marketing, data processing, network infrastructure, storage, transaction monitoring, and tax reporting. Colliga Apps may share your Personal Information with these service providers only so that they can provide us with services, and we prohibit our service providers from using or disclosing your Personal Information for any other purpose.
  • De-Identified Information. If you opt in to share your de-identified personal information, Colliga Apps may make this de-identified information publicly available for research purposes.
  • Law Colliga Apps may be compelled to share your Personal Information with law enforcement, government officials, and regulators.
  • Corporate Colliga Apps may disclose Personal Information in the event of a proposed or consummated merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, or similar corporate transaction, or in the event of a bankruptcy or dissolution.
  • Professional Colliga Apps may share your Personal Information with our professional advisors, including legal, accounting, or other consulting services for purposes of audits or to comply with our legal obligations.
  • Colliga Apps may share or disclose your information with your consent.

If Colliga Apps decides to modify the purpose for which your Personal Information is collected and used, we will amend this Privacy Policy.

Colliga may work with or otherwise integrate with third-party applications. Currently, Colliga may collect personal information through applications and/or technologies of the following third parties:

Colliga Apps does not have any legal or other responsibility for your use of these applications, technologies, and/or websites. Please review the privacy policies of these third-party applications, technologies, and/or websites to under your rights and responsibilities for use of these applications, technologies, and/or websites.

Colliga’s Use of Google User Data

With your consent, Colliga Apps may collect the following Google user data:

·   Typed text in your Google Chrome mobile browser;
·   Typed text in your Gmail client;
·   Calendar event information, through integration with Google Calendar.
If your study includes the collection of these Google user data, you will provide Colliga Apps with access to these data by logging in to your Google account within the Colliga App. These data, when collected with your informed consent as part of a research study, are stored in an encrypted format in transit and at rest. Your Google user data are only collected if the research study in which you are participating requires it, and you will be required to consent to each type of data individually. You can opt out of the study and request that Colliga Apps delete your data at any time (see “Deletion of your Data” below). Cookies

When you access the Colliga Apps Service, we make use of the standard practice of placing tiny data files called cookies, flash cookies, pixel tags, or other tracking tools (herein, “Cookies”) on your computer or other devices used to visit the Colliga Apps Service. We use Cookies to help us recognize you as a customer, collect information about your use of the Colliga Apps Service to better customize our Colliga Apps Service and content for you, and collect information about your computer or other access devices.

Please note that if you reject cookies, you will not be able to use some or all of the Colliga Apps Service.

Children’s Privacy

The Colliga Apps Service is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under the age of

  1. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 whose parents have not signed express, verifiable parental consent to engage in a research study. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at contact@colligaapps.com. If we become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, Colliga Apps takes steps to remove such information and terminate the child’s account.

Colliga Apps complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) when its applications are used in research studies involving children under the age of 12. Colliga Apps maintains a distinct policy regarding COPPA, which can be found at:

Security

No security is foolproof, and the Internet is an insecure medium. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to protect Colliga Apps and you from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of Personal Information that we collect and store.

Deletion of Your Data

Colliga Apps respects your right to delete your data. You may submit a request that Colliga Apps delete the personal information that we have about you by emailing contact@colligapps.com. Colliga Apps does not have the ability to delete any de-identified information.

Updates to This Privacy Policy

Colliga Apps may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our collection, use, and disclosure of information about you and will be located at https://colliga.io/all-policies/

If Colliga Apps makes material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website prior to or on the effective date of the changes. By continuing to access or use the Colliga Apps Service after those changes become effective, you acknowledge the revised Privacy Policy.
